General FAQs

We are an energy savings solutions company providing new, breakthrough technology in the form of our XRP devices that guarantee a reduction in electricity usage and costs by an average of 10%-20%, while optimizing power efficiency collecting unused energy.

It’s a device that incorporates new and existing technology into one extremely effective, yet practical and affordable package to attack as many areas of potential correction and savings as possible. Among other things it:

  • Optimizes power (power factor corrects) - Helps correct reactive power to inductive load motors.
  • Balances out the panel preventing, collecting up and retaining energy that would otherwise bleed away or go back to the power grid, for your proper use.
  • Stops the loss of Kilowatts from surges and spikes, putting those kilowatts back into the system as well.
  • Reduces motor overheating and wear and tear leading to increased useable life spans and subsequent savings as well.

Power factor is an indicator of the health or efficiency of your power distribution system. It can be said that power factor is the ratio of working (active) power (watts or kilowatts - kW) to apparent power (volt ampere or kilovolt amperes - KVA); or it is also defined as the ratio of the current drawn that produces real work to the total current drawn from the source or supplier of the energy, such as the electric utility.

In a typical electrical system, there is inefficiency in how power is delivered to appliances, electronics and machinery. This inefficiency is caused by a delay between when demand begins to push electrons through the circuit (voltage) and when they actually begin to move (current). The number used to describe the amount of current that isn't lost in this delay is called Power Factor. The average Power Factor is .77, meaning that 23% of energy consumption is wasted on inefficiency.

With your Power Factor greatly increased by the XRP device your system will consume electricity more efficiently and thus demand less from your utility. From a practical perspective although all one sees is a reduction in the magnitude of electricity bills it is also comforting to know that expensive appliances run cooler, last longer and need to be replaced less often.

Our device includes a free energy consumption monitor that allows you to view, in real time, how much power you are consuming.  You can also compare to historical electricity data from your electric company.

  • You will save 10%-20% on your homes electricity usage of your bill (this will also reduce the amount you pay on distribution / transportation charges and taxes).
  • Helps reduce harmful CO2 emissions.
  • You will be saving energy and costs in the face of rising energy costs.
  • You get to keep an energy/cost savings device that essentially paid for itself.

Very simply, it is the new type of meter being switched out from all homes and businesses that is much more sophisticated and so has the ability to monitor and provide much more information to the utility about your usage than the former ones. It is a key first part of implementing what they refer to as dynamic billing. In the past your old meter would merely register total use and your bill was based on this total use and a set price per unit of usage (KWH). The new billing is designed to take into consideration numerous factors such as the time that usage occurred, type of appliance and efficiency or inefficiency of usage etc. That information will be part of billing you different rates based on the time of the day and the overall demand for power at a given time. The ultimate idea is to “adjust” and redistribute usage from peak, high demand times to lower demand times by way of making the price paid to use at certain times too high. Where these meters have been installed AND IN USE in terms of dynamic billing, the bills have typically gone up 100 to 300%. That is because some usage just cannot be moved to different times due to factors such as climate and the hours that a business operates. If it’s 100 degrees at 2:00 in the afternoon it does you no good to put the AC on at 12 midnight

The unit itself working or not working cannot in any way hamper or affect the regular supply or workability of the homes general electrical system.

The device only involves installation. Monitoring the device and making any additional changes to your habits is completely up to you. Even without making any changes the device will produce savings. The device does all the work.

We are very familiar with KVAR.  It stands for Kilowatt, Voltage, and Amp Reduction. The KVAR technology has been around since 1995 and is basically a small bank of capacitors to improve Power Factor. It can work well if it is a good one correctly sized for the job, but the results in general have been all over the place which is why it has never taken the world by storm. This is a totally different device, using a different combination of technology evidenced by the fact that it carries a different certification category than the KVAR. Our device does do a superlative job of improving Power Factor but addresses more than just Power Factor and so ends up generally saving more energy. The KVAR generally has no more than three to four components, whereas our device has as many as twenty-five (25), depending on the need and application, as it does more than just correct Power Factor.

Yes and No. This device uses both existing technologies and solutions and new ones. Some of the technology has been used effectively for decades but usually at great costs that only large commercial and industrial businesses could benefit.  It has now been made affordable, has a real time usage monitoring component that shows the improvement in your usage and system and is available to average consumers and small businesses. The savings are real and seen immediately. Because of demand, utility prices are expected to increase on average of 40% in the next decade. It only makes sense to incorporate some kind of energy saving device to reduce the impact of those increases.

Usually you begin to see an average of 10-20% savings on usage during the first month once our device is installed. Some applications yield greater savings at different times of the year.  During the summer the heat causes greater demands and heats motors, causing more electric usage. In the winter, depending on how many inductive loads demands are usually less. You may see a greater savings in summer than in the winter. The more inductive loads, the greater savings you will see. Inductive load devices: HVAC systems, heat pumps, any appliance with a motor; even florescent lighting, etc.  The savings add up fast and are substantial!

Yes. The device will help eliminate surges and spikes in electricity. It is important to protect computers, High Definition LCD, Plasma TV's and Audio Systems from these power surges and spikes that occur every day. The damage these surges cause can add up quickly on high tech equipment.  Another benefit to keep in mind is the reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere and the positive impact this has on our environment.

No, generally both residential and commercial installation can be done within one hour. In some cases commercial may take a bit longer depending on the size of the facility and if other existing ancillary electrical devices on the system have to be taken into consideration.

Inductive loads – Technically any device that have coils of wire as they use magnetic fields in there manufacture and function can be classed as inductive loads. These are most easily recognized by and we are most interested in those items that have motors to turn or push things. For example - appliances such as air-conditioners, washers, dryers, refrigerators, pumps, fans, power transformer, air-conditioning units, lighting ballasts, etc.

Resistive loads - Resistive loads do not turn motors but arrive at their destination and convert current into other forms of energy, such as heat. A light bulb or your radio would be an example of resistive load system.

Many or most of our customers cannot afford to have the flow of electricity to their facilities shut down for long, if at all. We plan out the installation so that the current does not have to be interrupted for more than 15 to 30 minutes and sometimes it can be achieved without a cessation of service at all.
